Irene Collins, Alabama Department of Senior Services Commissioner, addresses the 112,004 Alabamians who have yet to claim their Economic Stimulus Payment, many of which are age 65 and above.

Governor Bob Riley points out the counties in Alabama that have the highest number of unclaimed Economic Stimulus Payments, including Jefferson and Mobile with the highest number of recipients yet to file for the payment.

Elaine Beck, IRS Representative, explains that it is not too late to file for the Economic Stimulus Payment, but the deadline of Oct. 15, is quickly approaching.

Drew Langloh, President and CEO of United Way of Central Alabama, urges seniors not to pay for filing assistance. There are volunteer sites across the state that will stay open until Oct. 15 that are offering free filing assistance for seniors.
